“I didn’t start Intrigue Education because I saw a gap in the market. I started it because my wife and I lived that gap — burning PTO or scrambling for childcare every school break, same as every other working parent around here.

My own kids are campers here. If I wouldn’t trust it with my own family, I wouldn’t ask you to trust it with yours.”

Austin Hill
Founder & Director, Intrigue Education

Your Child’s Safety Comes First

Every child deserves a safe, secure place to learn. Everything below isn’t just policy — it’s a promise.

🔍

Certified, Vetted Instructors

Every instructor is an active, state-certified teacher who has already passed the rigorous background screening required to hold that credential.

🧰

First Aid & Emergency Contacts On-Site

A stocked first aid kit and every camper’s emergency contact info are on-site and accessible to instructors at all times. Help is never more than a few steps away, no matter what happens.

🩹

CPR & First Aid Required

Directors & Lead instructors will be current on CPR and First Aid certification before the first day of camp, with supplies on-site at all times. They’re able to act, not just call for help.

🍽️

Allergy & Medical Awareness

We collect allergy and medical info before day one, and instructors are briefed on every camper’s needs. Your child’s needs are never a surprise to the person instructing them.

🪪

Verified Pickup Only

Campers are released only to parents or guardians on the approved pickup list — no verbal say-so. Your child goes home with the people you trust — no exceptions, ever

Certified Instructors

Every instructor leading a camp is an actively certified teacher, not a summer job for a college kid. When your camper asks a real question, they get a real answer from someone trained to teach it.

We Pay Teachers What They’re Worth

Good teachers have options for how they spend their summer. We pay above market rate for local, certified educators, so the best ones choose us — not whoever happens to be available.

Hands together

Built by Community, for Community

We live here, and we teach here — this isn’t a project run from out of state. This is the camp we wanted for our own kids, so instead of waiting for someone else to build it, we did.

Teacher writing lesson plan

Every Lesson Built From Scratch

No packaged curriculum bought off a shelf. Every lesson is written in-house, tested on real kids, and reworked until it actually clicks — not just filled with busywork to pass the time.

Robotics one week, chemistry the next, and circuits after that. Every camp is a brand-new adventure, packed with new challenges. Never the same day twice.

Low Ratios, High Support

Your child will never get lost in the crowd here. With about 1 instructor for every 12 campers — nearly half the size of a typical classroom — every question gets answered and every hand gets noticed. High school honors students add even more support to every group of five, giving your child one more person invested in their progress.

The people behind Intrigue Education — real credentials, real care.

Austin Hill
Founder & Director
Austin brings a rare mix of deep scientific training and real classroom experience to Intrigue Education. He holds three degrees in chemistry — a B.S. double-majoring in biochemistry and cellular & molecular biology, an M.S. in computational biochemistry, and an M.S. in physical and theoretical chemistry — and has co-authored two published papers in Angewandte Chemie. After nearly 20 semesters teaching college labs, he moved into the high school classroom, where he’s spent the last two years teaching and recently secured a $5,000 grant to build a cross-collaborative, project-based learning experience for students.

Intrigue Education was born out of a problem he and his wife lived firsthand: finding real, trustworthy childcare during school breaks that didn’t mean burning PTO or working from the kitchen table. Outside of camp, he’s usually hiking, tinkering in the woodshop, 3D printing something new, or lost in a good book or board game.
